After a childhood full of art and film, Johannes started his business as a portrait and caricature artist in 2009. A few years later, he began taking assignments as a caricature artist at events. Now he work full-time with art, illustration, and photography with a studio in Majorna, Gothenburg.

Johannes moved to Gothenburg in 2014 after studying and traveling for many years. Johannes grew up in Arvidsjaur in Lapland, Sweden and currently lives in Gothenburg and love it! Johanees has a wife and two young children. He is available for traditional and digital caricature events in Stockholm Gothenburg, Malmö, Oslo, and all other cities in the south of Sweden.

If I wasn't a caricature artist I would be:

I would have been an illustrator or a portrait artist, which I already am. And if I hadn't been, I would have worked in social work or coaching, which I previously did part-time - I have a degree in social work and a Master's in ICF-coaching. But if I hadn't been one of these, I would have gladly been a guide in off-piste extreme free skiing.

Custom Studio Caricature Commissions From Photos

Simply send us an email with photos and description of what you are looking to have drawn. We will discuss options and send you a quote. We begin with your photos and theme to create an initial draft. You’ll have the opportunity to critique and provide feedback on this draft. After incorporating your changes, we’ll draft a revised version for your review, approval or to request further changes. Once you’re satisfied with the draft, we continue to enhance, sharpen and color the illustration adding your reamining requested elements. Voilà! Your first experience as an art director has been a success!

What is the meaning of caricature?

The Meridian-Webster Dictionary defines "caricature as exaggeration by means of often ludicrous distortion of parts or characteristics" We strive to draw slightly distorted but pleasing - appreciated caricatures of everyone we draw.

How long does a caricature take?

The artists in our collective each average 15 years experience in event caricature drawing. We draw about 12 to 15 people per hour live - black and white, head and shoulders. This means it takes us between 4 and 5 minutes per person to draw a caricature.

What is a digital caricature?

We have been drawing digital caricatures for the past 20 years. Digital caricatures are hand drawn caricatures, similar to traditional paper based caricatures. Digital caricatures are drawn on a laptop or tablet with the drawings being displayed on monitor or projected for all the guests to see the caricatures take shape. Digital caricatures are a versatile and can be used as custom framed art, t-shirts, coffee cups, social media avatars and marketing.
